ASAJ operates from a private studio, based in Wonnarua Country, Maitland
For #asajdeliveries our delivery area is Maitland & Newcastle. There is a full list of suburbs that we deliver to.
For #asajweddings & events we floral up all over Newcastle, Hunter Valley & Surrounding areas regularly. We also love to create for destination weddings, with a love of travel and excited for the challenge.

Yes. We have a growing collection of carefully considered styling items and can help curate your entire day, covering flowers, styling, signage and stationery

As Sweet As Jasmine is constantly updating and reviewing sustainable practises in an effort to reduce our impact on the environment.

Some key elements that we proudly do:
- Australian Grown. All of our flowers and foliages are grown locally. We regularly source blooms from farms within 50km!
- We use reusable mechanics to create our designs
- We do not use Floral Foam. This is a single-use plastics that breaks down to microplastics which is harming our ecosystems. It can also be breathed into our lungs causing respiratory complications and is carcinogenic
- We separate our waste. We use Recycle Smart to collect our soft plastics. Compost our green-waste or dispose of appropriately. And recycle everything where possible.
- We use ‘Eco-Candles’ and natural fabrics for styling and bouquets including dying our own natural silk ribbons!
- We do not use coloured, bleached, or preserved flowers. These are harmful for our environment and cannot be composted.
- Our studio is solar powered
- Our water is mostly collected rainwater

At each step, we opt for the more environmentally friendly path and always educating ourselves on where we can improve

Absolutely! We understanding that planning is a process and details are going to change.
We schedule another consultation about 5-6 weeks out from the wedding day to finesse the details and adjust where needed

We have a minimum spend of $8000 for onsite delivery & installation, and $10,000 for out of area events
*please note arbour designs and hanging installations require onsite installation & in most cases, bump out.

As much as florists are magicians, we cannot guarantee a certain flower. We use naturally occurring product at the mercy of the environment.
ASAJ focuses on Australian grown blooms and therefore uses seasonally available flowers and foliages.

Rather than focus on a certain flower type, we create based off the desired aesthetic and colour palette.

We source our flowers primarily from Sydney Flower Markets, developing relationships with the amazing growers.
We also source from local small farms around the Hunter. We proudly use Australian Grown flowers and foliages in your designs. This reduces our footprint and avoiding dangerous chemicals from imported flowers and supports the local industry.

If we are travelling, we reach out to local farms in the area.

This is dependent on the type of service you wish to book. Events with hanging installations require pack down due to the nature of the work. Packdown is an additional service which will be listed in your quote and includes travel back to the venue, pack down and removal of all ASAJ property, green waste removal and sustainable disposal, and cleaning of hardware.

Client drop off is available as well. All items are required to be returned safely to our private studio based in Rutherford, within 48 hours of your event. This is only available at the discretion of ASAJ.

For pick up only events, once collected, ASAJ has no further responsibility of florals. Vases will be determined by invoice as to whether they are hired vases or not. If hired, client is responsible for returning these within 48 hours of event finish.

Naturally dried flowers, yes. Depending on the aesthetic of the event, dried flowers and foliages make a beautiful feature, texture or perfect bridging colour.

Preserved & dyed flowers, no. They are horrific for the environment and our personal health with the use of caustic chemicals.
